Nutrient agar

Nutrient agar is a basic dense nutrient medium, comprehensively ensures the growth of most bacteria. It is used to diagnose samples the presence of bacteria, for identification of individual strains and for various laboratory tests. Consisting of no inhibitors, peptone and extract provide the microorganisms with nutrients to build biomass, separation of pigments and other typical products.

Nutrient broth

Nutrient broth - basic liquid nutrient medium. Supports the growth of most bacteria and has no inhibitory action; uses to the accumulation of biomass and study of metabolic products of the bacteria. The broth fully meets the needs of microorganisms for nutrients and supports the development and production of characteristic compounds.

Russel medium

Russel medium is used for the differentiation of enterobacteria on the ability to ferment lactose or glucose. According to the analysis, the bacteria are divided into three groups: lactose fermenting, glucosaminidase and bacteria, not fermenting carbohydrates. Analyze samples after 19-20 hours, because earlier they can be incorrect, because of a staged fermentation medium components. Be sure to leave one control vial (original color is green).

Malonat agar

Malonat agar - the nutrient medium where the carbon source is malonate sodium, and a source of nitrogen - ammonium chloride. Other sources are absent. If the bacteria are able to ferment this substrate, they will produce alkaline waste products also bronchi ology blue, which is part of the environment, changes color from green to blue.
